CHENNAI: Twenty four police officials from the Tamil Nadu Police have been awarded President’s Medal, considered the highest honour for police officers and are given taking in to account overall performance and reputation.
A press release from the office of the Director General of Police said the awards announced on the eve of Republic Day include three IPS officers Srilakshmi Prasaad, ADGP (Headquarters) Chennai, Mithilesh Kumar Jha, ADGP, Technical Service, Chennai and TP Sundaramurthy, CoP, Coimbatore City who have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
Twenty one officers including three IPS officers have been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
