A CCTV video of a hit-and-run posted by the Bangalore Traffic Police on their Facebook page on Monday evening has elicited an overwhelming response, with over 27,000 shares on the social networking website in just three days.
The accident, involving a motorcycle and a white Maruti 800, occurred on Monday morning at the Garebhavipalya junction near Electronics City in Bangalore. The 49-second video shows the biker waiting under an overpass to cross the road when a speeding car swerves right and violently rams into the bike, sending it flying to the opposite side of the road. The alert biker, identified as Veeru Paksha Nayak, who promptly removed his hands from the handlebars and took a step back, miraculously survived.
